Welcome to 7th grade regular and honors science! This year, we will be learning about what makes planet Earth habitable to humans and then creating a habitable planet of their own!  Throughout the year we will be incorporating STEM activities, AVID study skills, online NASA simulations, and many other fun and engaging hands-on projects and labs.  The subjects we will cover 1st semester include scientific method, Earth's layers, plate tectonics, earthquakes, volcanoes, minerals, the rock cycle, geologic time scale, and fossils.  2nd semester will include more scientific method, food chains & webs, ecology, populations, conservation and alternative energies, and space science.



About Me

I graduated from NAU with a B.S. in Education.  I also have a Master's Degree in Adult Education from the University of Phoenix. I have been in education since 1987 and have taught 1st, 6th, and currently, 7th grade science.  I also owned a teaching supply store and website for 10 years.  Besides a husband and 2 boys, I have 1 dog, 5 cats, and take care of several outside feral cats.
