This class is all about theater. We will be studying and developing the skills needed to be an effective communicator. Students will be responsible for acting, directing, planning, creating, and devising.
Advanced : Students will be participating in a school play. They will learn about skills that go beyond Drama I and challenge themselves to address the process of theater.
Drama 7: First-year drama course. Students will learn the basics of the theater process. They will begin with theater terminology, going over pantomime, improvisation, voice and story-telling. Students will use the skills mastered to plan, create, perform and evaluate different modes of theater.
Drama 8: Combination of second-year and first-year drama students. Students will review skills that were previously taught in the seventh-grade course. They will then refine those skills by leading and directing groups and the class in different activities. Students will also look more into the history of theater and how certain concepts came to fruition.
