Welcome!

This course is designed as an extension of 7th Grade Social Studies, focusing primarily on the second half of 20th Century American History; incorporating elements of geography, government, and economics. By the end of the first semester, we will have covered the American Revolution, new nation, government, economics, and WWII. We will begin second semester with post war, Cold War, 1950’s, Vietnam, and will conclude the year in May by examining topics in recent history.

About me!

My Rattler story began in 7th grade as I attended DRJHS as a student myself. I loved this school then and remained in the Desert Ridge family all through high school. When I graduated there was only one university for me and that was Arizona State. I loved my time there and the education I received that would help me become the educator I am today. When I graduated my list of schools I wanted to work at was very short, but luckily for me I found a home back at DRJHS. I am now in my fourth year of teaching and fifth year of coaching junior high and high school soccer.
